Peanut Sauce
No cooking, no machines.
Just a bowl, a fork or spoon, and some wrist action. This is so easy and can be made while your main dish is cooking. I have done a video on this recipe too, which you can watch here.
Peanut Sauce
For 2 people
Time: 2 mins
2 tbsp peanut butter
1 tbsp tahini
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp honey
Optional: 1 tsp sriracha sauce for a kick!
1/4 cup (or a little bit more) of water
Instructions
In a bowl, add peanut butter, tahini, soy sauce and honey (and sriracha if you are using it). Mix it together with a fork or spoon, and add a splash of water. Mix again, and then add more and more water bit by bit until you reach desired thickness. If it’s a bit clumpy and hard to mix at first, don’t worry, it will suddenly become lovely and smooth with the right amount of water.
I recommend keeping it a bit thicker when using as a sauce over the dinner bowl for example, and a bit thinner if using as a dressing on a salad. If you have added a bit too much water, you can of course just add more nut butter or tahini to thicken it again, or you can just leave it to stand for a bit as it thickens when you leave it.
Both smooth and crunchy peanut butter works for this sauce.
Enjoy over dinner bowls, parmesan roasted cauliflower or on a stir fry!
